Yes, I realize how flower child + free spirited this topic sounds...but, I hope you skeptics will hear me out. Because cleaning up my vibes has played a very important part on my self improvement journey and is something I would HIGHLY recommend anyone and everyone do! It is, in my opinion the thing that needs cleaning up the most in this world; our vibes.
From implementing new practices to simply hanging pictures on my wall; here are the top 3 things I've implemented to clean up my vibes for happier living.
You don't have to enroll at your local studio, fork out big $$, or higher a personal yoga instructor to implement yoga practice into your everyday life. (I mean you totally can, and I personally love a group class every now and then...) But there are so many resources available out there that its nearly impossible to have an excuse as to why you aren't implementing the beautiful, grounding practice of yoga into your everyday routine.
Here are my favorites for at home practice--
+ Yoga Studio App
I love this app! It's easy to use, has so many options as far as length of session, level of difficulty, + targeted area for practice. It also has an awesome calendar feature where you can schedule classes and make it easy to keep up and integrate yoga into your everyday life.
+ Yoga with Adriene Youtube Channel
Yoga with Adriene was my first experience with at home yoga. I LOVE her videos. They're jam packed with information, easy to follow, and fun! Perfect for at home beginners!
Essentials for at home yoga--
To many meditation is unfamiliar and seemingly unnecessary. But to those that practice it regularly, it is an essential way of life. I can not put into words the difference that meditation makes in my day. And you know what, I'm not perfect at it! Not even close. I skip days, don't fully complete my practices, and sometimes go through the process begrudgingly; receiving no benefits. But the days that I do take the 10-15 minutes to rest my mind and attain a state of consciousness, my world is brighter and my day is smoother; every time.
+ Practice Guided Meditation--the Yoga Studio app has a section for guided mediations, which are very helpful for beginners! You can also find tons of resources for guided meditation online on youtube. My favorites are with my girl Gabrielle Bernstein. You can check those out here!
+Use a mantra. It's easy for your mind to wander while you meditate. Remember, meditation is so much more than just sitting alone in quiet...in order to see results from you meditation you need to train your mind to shut out the noise and regain consciousness. Mantra's at first were difficult for me. I never knew what to say...that's where my Universe Has your Back card deck came in clutch! LOVE these cards by Gabrielle Bernstein. (Can you tell she's my favorite!?)
3. VISION BOARD
A vision board is a powerful tool to manifest your life desires. According to the Law of Attraction "our attitudes and beliefs create a magnet to attract events, circumstances, and opportunities to live out those attitudes and beliefs. " Creating a vision board is a powerful Law of Attraction tool. By creating a vision board, you are attracting your desires. Creating a sacred space that displays what you want most in life, announces to the Universe that this is what you want. What you focus on, expands. By placing your vision board in a place you see often, you are incorporating visualization excercises into your daily routine. And visualization has been proven to be one of the most powerful mind exercises you can do. Don't believe me? Try it for yourself. What do you have to lose?
4. SPRITUAL PRACTICE
Whatever your religion; live it and love it. I've found nothing to be more influential on my vibes than the way I chose to worship. Having an understanding of why we're here, and honoring your creator is such an important part of spiritual practice and cleaning up your vibes.
